The Micro-Pundit:  President Brownback?

Senator Brownback of Kansas is considering running for President in 2008, and according to The Washington Post, he’s getting close to making his decision.

Personally, I hope he runs.  Hell, I’d be thrilled if he even won the GOP nomination, because the Democratic candidate would be almost certain to win.  I remember an interview with the good Senator that I read about once when he claimed to have a consitutuency of one - God.  And the fact he’s still Senator means there are a good number of people who have no problem with a man who claims to represent God instead of the voters in his state.  But there’s no way that a man who so obviously spurns his own voters could win.
