The Micro Pundit:  Liberalism vs. Progressivism

Sometimes the language we use gets in the way.  And the word “liberal” has enough baggage that maybe it’s time to think of using the term “progressive” instead.

Some people believe that the word “liberal” has too many connotations of white, educated, wealthy opinions that are out of touch with the real problems that the United States, and perhaps the world, face.  Check out this blog on Scholars & Rogues by S&R co-blogger Martin Bosworth, who claims that “progressive” is more accurate than “liberal” for folks like him and me.
