I’m a nanotech geek, and so I follow the latest R&D in the field. Given that it’s a rapidly evolving field, I’ve decided to do a roundup of cool nanotechnology applications, research, updates on previously reported applications, even the politics of nanotech. I hope that those of you who are fellow nanotech geeks enjoy it.
(0) Comments •New research on mice shows that there may in fact be a way to partially reverse the effects of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.
(0) Comments •In March off 2005, three dissenters were tossed out of a publicly-funded Presidential speech by two volunteers. Two of the dissenters sued in federal court, and today there was some news about the arguments that the two volunteers (the defendants) were using to appeal to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
(0) Comments •Two cool outer space-related news stories caught my eye today, one about discovering the first water outside the solar system and one predicting what color alien foliage would be under a different sun.
(0) Comments •There’s an informercial on TV playing for a bogus 9/11 commemerative coin made by a company that was taken to court by now-Governor Eliot Spitzer. These slimeballs need to be smacked around again by the families and friends of 9/11 victims, and the sooner, the better.
